NAR (National Association of Realtors); MLS. Telluride Real Estate Corporation was founded in 1981 by T.D. Smith and Ronald D. Allred, Chairman of the Board of the Telluride Ski and Golf Company which founded The Telluride Mountain Village. Initially, it's primary focus was to market the master developer's land product in the new 2500 unit mid-mountain development. From 1984 to 1993, Telluride Real Estate Corporation marketed in excess of $200,000,000 in land sales in that project.

With four partners T.D purchased the ski company's shareholder interest in 1992. Since that time, and with Smith as its President and Managing Broker, the Company has garnered a 40% market share. It's primary focus over the years has been developer product and high end residential properties. TREC has also been a leader in the sale of farm and ranch property. Its staff consists of 29 real estate brokers, 9 assistants and 6 administrative staff members. The key characteristic of its staff is longevity in the trade. TREC maintains two prime, high traffic, office locations. We are located on a prime corner in Historic Telluride, on the Heritage Plaza, and adjacent to the gondola in the Telluride Mountain Village.
