The imposing facade is dominated by the Azevedo Coutinho family crest of arms and the abundant original tiles of the patio and the terrace represent hunting scenes and landscapes. The dining hall was refurbished by D. Joao V 's servers.
Another terrace boasts beautiful tiles with allegoric representations of the Four Seasons. The chapel is separate from the Palace and is consecrated to Our Lady (Nossa Senhora da Apresentaçao) and presents a gilded dome and an altar. Both the interior and the portico are covered in 17c. tiles depicting Biblical scenes.
The Palace is surrounded by approximately 4000m2 of gardens with a lake plus 3000m2 of olive trees.
