My dad’s boat is finally fixed. When they said a boat is a hole in the ocean you pour money into, they weren’t kidding. But my dad would say it’s worth it because his favorite thing to do is take it out to the Kaneohe Bay Sandbar every day (when its working) after work.

We spent Saturday afternoon wading in the CRYSTAL CLEAR water on the bar. It’s absolutely amazing how beautiful and clear the water is, the sky is, and how stunning the mountains are from there. One of my favorite things to do is to bring a beach chair and sit on it in ankle-deep water. Sit long enough and the sandcrabs pop their head out.

Sunday was our mom (our lovely owner and principal broker of Trinity Properties Hawaii, Annie Kwock)’s birthday, and we all woke up early and drove out to Sandy’s Beach to watch the sunrise. As a family we are trying to practice gratitude more and more, and HOW EASY it is to be grateful and in awe of all the beauty surrounding us when we’re watching a sunrise in Hawaii! When the orange backlit waves and pink and orange sky colors dissipated we cruised the tidepools catching hermit crabs and looking at starfish-like creatures. It’s been too long since we enjoyed those simple pleasures at the beach! (We need a vacation in Hawaii sometimes, too.) After Sandy’s we drove around the most south-east point of Oahu to Makapuu Lighthouse walk / hike. Did I mention we could see MOLOKAI, LANAI AND MAUI the entire morning!? Breathtaking clear skies the entire day! (See picture above of surfer at Sandy’s with Molokai island in the background). We will not wait so long to take another vacation on Oahu! Neither should you!
