Knowledgeable, reliable, driven, and creative are but a handful of adjectives that best describe Karen Eastman Bigos, the consummate professional.  After 23 years of selling Residential Real Estate for two large corporations, Bigos and her business partner of seven years, Daniel Cannizzo, put their expertise into designing her own brand and launched a new independent Real Estate Boutique called Towne Realty Group, LLC. in February 2006. Now celebrating our 6th anniversary with almost $500 million in sales.

Located at 511 Millburn Avenue, Short Hills, Bigos & Cannizzo are just two blocks away from where they attended Millburn High School, and steps from the two large corporations where Bigos worked for more than a decade each.  Following in her mother Sandi Eastman’s footsteps as a local Realtor, she focused her entire career in the community where she was raised and she works to give back to her hometown by holding a seat on the Board of Directors of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce since 1991, raising funds for the 4th of July Committee and serving on the Board of Trustees for the Millburn-Short Hills Historical Society, where she contributes valuable data and photos on local Real Estate. Our office participates and donates to over 20 local and national charitable causes.

In 2008 she coordinated her Millburn High School 30th Reunion and she found all but 20 of her 350 classmates with tireless searches on over 8 websites and endless networking, phone calling and bulletins on local TV and newspapers. She built a website at 
http://www.Millburn78.com to help bring people together and to make the event accessible to graduates who are all over the world. Over 200 people attended and Karen got hundreds of friends and classmates reconnected by inviting everyone to join Facebook and other popular networking websites! (it is by design that Karen has listed or sold over 100 homes for her high school classmates or their parents and siblings).

She completed her 20th year on the Board of Directors of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce, which brought a lot of satisfaction. This is an organization that her late father, and former downtown business owner, Martin Eastman, served as a past President. Her participation shows her commitment to the public and she enjoys networking with business owners, some of whom she has known her entire life. Never one to shy away from contributing time to charitable organizations, Bigos believes that success is more satisfying when she gets involved in causes outside of her occupation.

No stranger to hard work, Bigos has been recognized by the New Jersey Association of Realtors for earning the Circle of Excellence Award for twenty years and she was twice named the Number One Agent at her former company, Burgdorff Realtors, consistently placing in the top ten for the entire corporation year after year. If plaques and awards told the whole story, Bigos could write a book as one of the top Realtors in Short Hills for over a decade. In 2007, she was selected to be on the cover of North Jersey's Broker - Agent Magazine, based her solid reputation amongst her peers. 

Working with her, Daniel Cannizzo and her husband, Broker and tax appeal specialist Mark Bigos, and a team of 25 full-time seasoned pros, gives the whole operation the precision of a fine tuned machine that is a winning combination. One of the best reasons to hire Bigos is that she likes her job and she is always willing to go the extra mile. Recently certified as an e-PRO in November 2008, Bigos is all about technology and they built a mobile app and made sure that all agents are ready for electronic signatures with Docusign. Still, Towne Realty Group does business the old fashioned way; one client at a time, where the relationships with their clients and customers take precedence and the company has all the savoir-faire of the 21st Century.
