A resident of the Vail Valley since 1974, Scott is originally from Alabama. After graduating from Auburn University with a focus in finance and accounting, Scott worked with one of the largest banks in the United States and was a member of the American Banker's Association. In 1972, Scott recieved his Alabama real estate license. In 1974 he obtained his Colorado real estate license and initiated his real estate career in 1978 as a branch manager for Vail Associates Real Estate. He was part of the original team of brokers to specialize in Beaver Creek Resort when it was first introduced to the market. Today, he continues to represent the finest and most sought after homes in Beaver Creek and its new exclusive sister resort, Bachelor Gulch.

Scott has extensive knowledge of the Rocky Mountain outdoors where he enjoys many activities including skiing, horseback trips, fly fishing in wilderness lakes and streams, and hiking Colorado's beautiful mountain peaks. His wife, Rita, and daughter, Anna, also share his love for the outdoors.
