Joseph Gartland Moore became a sales associate with Alain Pinel Realtors effective April 1, 2007 when the firm he founded was acquired by them. APR wanted to establish a recognizable presence in San Francisco and Mr. Moore’s many years in the business and multi generational knowledge of the City provides them with that. His new position with Alain Pinel and the team of professionals he has put together allows him an opportunity to accelerate his sales career all the while maintaining the personal service, client care, and in -depth market knowledge that has become his hallmark. Along with his responsibilities as managing principal of Ritchie-Hallanan Real Estate, LTD. Joe maintained a very successful career in residential sales that consistently ranks him amongst the top two per cent of agents in San Francisco and the top production agent in the, now APR, Buchanan Street office.  His consistency, professionalism, and market knowledge provides him with continued support and referrals from his broad base of clients. His active participation in the local residential markets combined with his lifelong residency in The City gives him rare insight into the marketplace. This shared insight is very valuable to his clients, not only from the historical perspective, but also from his ability to pick up the slight subtleties of current market conditions. Joe’s clients have been very well served by his broad knowledge, wisdom, and insightful perspectives on the marketplace. His strong negotiation skills assure that his clients are properly represented. Co-founding Ritchie-Hallanan Real Estate, LTD. in 1993 Mr. Moore guided the company through substantial growth in both slow and explosive markets. His main focus was on the marketing side of the business and he gained an in depth knowledge of what “sells” a property. He is often quoted in both the local and national media as to the state of our local market and innovations in the marketing of real estate. Mr. Moore, born in 1953, is a third generation native San Franciscan who grew up in Presidio Heights and currently resides in Monterey Heights with his wife of 26 years. He has two children at Georgetown University and another about to select the University she would like to attend. Educated locally he attended Saint Ignatius College Preparatory, The University of Santa Clara, and the Menlo College School of Business Administration. Joe began his real estate career in the fall of 1987 as a sales associate at McGuire Real Estate. During his tenure there he was consistently awarded the company´s "Top Producer" award given to agents whose production is in the top percentile company wide. He is a member of the San Francisco Association of Realtor, the California Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.  He is also a member of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. He has been a homeowner and investor in The City since the late 70´s when he converted his first building into condominiums.                              Mr. Moore also brings significant business experience and insight to residential sales. Prior to real estate he spent over ten years working in his family´s San Francisco based manufacturing business. In that time, his scope of activity included sales, marketing, operations, and general management of five factories on both the East and West coasts. From 1983 to 1987 he was the Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Moore Manufacturing Inc. and related companies, which were sold to competitors in the winter of 1986.                                                      Joe comes from a large family many of whom are active in San Francisco business, cultural, charitable, and civic affairs. Joe has served on numerous charitable and cultural boards, including the San Francisco Boys and Girls Club, Columbia Park Boys & Girls Club, Saint Brendan Men´s Club (President 94-96), and The Guardsmen (President 92-93).
