SEATTLE, WA - Carolynn Ozar Diakon, Broker and Senior Partner of Resources Real Estate in Rumson, NJ, shared her company’s success story as a featured participant in a panel discussion about “Creating Company Culture” at the 2015 Luxury Real Estate Fall Conference in Seattle.
"We take the business very seriously, but we encourage a culture where we don't take ourselves too seriously. We believe that education and professionalism can be incorporated in a fun workplace - we are always doing something to bring fun,” said Diakon of her company’s culture. “Our agents feel included because they actually are. We include our agents in a lot of decision making and brainstorming. They tend to be happy, positive people and we have a very low turnover.” More than simply trying to maintain in-house satisfaction, Diakon explained that their clients actually reap the rewards. “Buying or selling, our agents are dedicated to our clients’ needs and if they feel happy and well-supported within the company it helps them to do their jobs even better,” Diakon concluded.
“We have great marketing pieces and we are always looking to stay ahead of the curve and be innovative,” said Diakon, whose company won Most Innovative Marketing at last year’s luxury conference in Boston and was nominated for numerous awards this year. “We’re in the top 1 percent of our market area and our average transaction price per agent is highest in our immediate area. But it’s our company culture that keeps us strong,” Diakon told conference participants. “It’s why agents not only work for our company, it’s why they want to help take our company to even higher levels of accomplishment.”
