ZEPHYR COVE, NV – Lake Tahoe SummerFest is set to bring world-class music to Lake Tahoe this summer. But before the general performances begin July 31, Chase International Real Estate will be hosting a special preview event Sunday, July 25, at a private lakefront estate in Glenbrook.
This is the second year in a row that the Chase Glenbrook office will be giving a glimpse of what the festival has to offer. The invitation-only event will include a quartet performance by members of the SummerFest Orchestra and wine reception with an opportunity to meet the visiting musicians. Artistic director Joel Revzen will be on hand to share highlights of the upcoming season.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for our staff and the Glenbrook community to support and embrace the incredible arts Lake Tahoe offers,” said Clif Chase, head broker of the Glenbrook office. “It’s an event our office and volunteers look forward to each year.”
Performing at the preview and throughout the festival are Rachel Golub, violinist with the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, New Jersey Symphony, and American Ballet Theatre; Sarah Adams, who plays the viola with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and American Ballet Theatre; David Calhoun, cellist with the American Symphony and New York Virtuosi; and Demarre McGill, flutist with the Houston Symphony.
Revzen is an award-winning conductor who leads symphony and opera performances throughout North America and Europe. He has been with the festival since its inception four years ago and hand selects the orchestra.
The Lake Tahoe SummerFest is a three-weekend series, consisting of nine different concerts July 31 through August 16 at the Sierra Nevada College campus in Incline Village. The lineup is led by renowned pianist Joseph Kalichstein. For more information, go to www.tahoesummerfest.org.
