DENVER, CO – Kentwood City Properties and the company’s caring real estate professionals are supporting the Be the Gift charitable organization for the holiday season. Be the Gift provides practical assistance to single mothers in need of home repair. The organization’s goal is to ensure a safe and healthy home environment for single mom families and to improve their quality of life.
“We are proud to be involved with the Be the Gift project which invites single moms to request holiday gifts for themselves and their children,” said Tari Wilde, a Broker Associate with Kentwood City Properties who helped coordinate the endeavor along with colleague and Broker Associate Allison Smookler. “Be the Gift then finds businesses willing to support the gift giving and Kentwood City joined their efforts this year.
“We set up a tree in our front lobby in downtown Denver and hung gift tags and paper ornaments with the family’s gift wishes written on each tag along with a little information about each recipient,” Wilde continued. “Kentwood City team members then selected families’ tags and purchased gifts for the recipient. All the tags were taken in just a few days, and all the gifts were purchased and wrapped. Representatives with Be the Gift will pick up the Gifts on December 8th and distribute to deserving families just in time for a Merry Christmas.”
Be the Gift is a local nonprofit in Colorado that believes some of the greatest heroes of our time are single moms who give their lives to raise their children and provide for them. With their limited income and all their time poured into their kids, single moms sometimes struggle to maintain and repair their home. Be the Gift’s team of project managers and volunteers work together to provide home repairs for single moms as a gift which helps provide a safer, healthier and more functional home in which to raise their children.
