John A. Daugherty, Jr., chairman/chief executive officer and founder of John Daugherty, Realtors, serves on the Luxury Real Estate Board of Regents, which celebrates its 10 year anniversary in 2014. John is a recipient of the Luxury Real Estate Lifetime Achievement and Billionaires Club awards and his company is also the recipient of the award for Best Brand Integration.
How did you get your start in real estate?
Accidentally, I met Jimmy Jax of Jimmy Jax Realty Co in Houston, Texas at a priest’s ordination and two weeks later I was working for him.
What path has your career taken?
My career has taken me down a path of lots of enjoyment and making many good friends over 48 years in the business.
Why is your company successful?
My company is successful because of training, focus, excellent sales associates and management. The best people in the business!
What are your favorite parts of your job?
The favorite parts of my job are seeing our sales associates succeed.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy boating and shooting a shot gun.
