1398115901SAN FRANCISCO, CA – After more than 35 years as President of Zephyr Real Estate, Bill Drypolcher has decided to change his participation in daily operations. Following a course of steady growth and forward thinking development he built the company into the largest independent real estate brokerage in San Francisco, with six offices, more than 250 agents and nearly $1.8 billion in annual sales. Following the passing of his three partners, Drypolcher began an innovative program bringing his sales managers into company ownership. This creative approach to leadership has resulted in a new invigorated partnership that has helped to retain the unique entrepreneurial spirit of the company and has been a driving force in its success.

As President, he also worked to create a partnership between agents, staff and ownership that could retain the small company, family atmosphere. He has led by example and has demanded professionalism and fair dealings with clients as well as a balanced work life that includes humor and good fun.

"When I started Zephyr, I thought that it could be a special place to do business in San Francisco," commented Bill Drypolcher, Founding Partner of Zephyr Real Estate. "I can't imagine anyone better suited to follow in my footsteps than Randall Kostick. He's been instrumental in key growth for the company, all while maintaining the spirit in which it was originally founded over 35 years ago. I know he'll lead with the same vision, forward-thinking, and community-mindedness that our agents, staff and clients have come to know and value."

As part of Drypolcher's long-term vision to bring sales managers into company ownership, Kostick became a partner at Zephyr in 2000. He was appointed General Sales Manager in 2006 and then moved into the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2009. He has been instrumental in the growth and development of the company, including expansion into the north side of town with the opening of the Pacific Heights office in 2007, adding greater in-house technology and marketing services, and most recently in facilitating key partnerships with independent brokerage affiliates in Sonoma County. Kostick was unanimously approved by the company's partners for his new role as President of Zephyr.

"It is a great honor to be a part of this incredible organization, and I intend to work toward continuing the amazing legacy of Bill and his vision," commended Randall Kostick, President of Zephyr Real Estate.
