1395786802Elaine Seabolt, Founder and Managing Broker of Seabolt Brokers LLC, shares how she got her start in the luxury real estate industry and what makes her company so successful. Elaine serves on the Luxury Real Estate Board of Regents and is a Life Member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors®.

How did you get your start in real estate? I began my career in real estate 30 years ago. I was selling my home by owner and the agent who brought the buyer into my home gave me a gift of a real estate course. She thought I was a great sales person who knew more about the market than she did, so I took the class and the rest is history.

What path has your career taken? I aligned myself from the very beginning with a luxury real estate company in Atlanta. I was fortunate to have high-end clientele from the very beginning. Years later I moved to Savannah and opened the Christie's office for a local developer. A few years later I was offered the position as sales manager for the local luxury boutique and within five years became the President and COO of that company. Eight years ago I decided it was time for me to open my own luxury real estate company and have never regretted this decision even though the market crashed two months after my door opened. We have been able to grow and thrive.

Why is your company successful? My company is successful because I have a driven group of professionals that support me every day. My agents are some of the top producing agents in our area and they stand by me daily. My COO runs my company seamlessly which gives me time to continue our growth.

What are your favorite parts of your job? I love my company, my clients and my agents. I get up, dress up and show up every day and enjoy every challenging moment.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work? My favorite thing to do in the small amount of downtime I have is to chill out with my three dogs and to cook dinner for my adult children and my grand dogs.
