1395352793SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Vanguard Properties, the well-known San Francisco-based real estate firm, announced today that it will open its first Marin County office, continuing the company’s expansion and growth into the North Bay. Kevin Patsel, longtime Coldwell Banker Marin manager will lead the operations in Marin for Vanguard Properties, said Principal James Nunemacher.

“We’re excited about the opportunities in Marin,” Nunemacher commented. “We see great potential in the Marin market for a real estate company that understands the nuances of the local market, as well as the dynamics of the new economy and how that impacts its customers. There is a new consumer in today’s real estate market; One that demands an understanding of technology, market statistics, investments and real estate as part of an overall financial portfolio. We also believe that Marin agents are looking for a company with local roots that can help them interact with this new consumer by providing the tools and systems so they may do their best work.”

Kevin Patsel, who previously managed several offices for Coldwell Banker in Marin has been tapped to lead the Marin operations. An eleven-year real estate veteran, Patsel entered the business in 2003 in the aftermath of the dotcom bust. Selling real estate for two years in a challenging market, Patsel quickly became a top producer for Coldwell Banker and was asked to join its leadership team in 2006. Patsel has been an active member of the Marin real estate community, serving on the Board of Directors for three years and two years on the executive committee as Secretary for the Marin Association of Realtors. Patsel was also awarded the distinction of Realtor of the Year in 2009 by his peers, and has been a well-respected figure in the local real estate market for over a decade. Prior to his career in real estate, Patsel worked in the public relations industry serving international corporate clients.

“Kevin is truly a dynamic leader and has quite a following in Marin real estate circles. He is the embodiment of Vanguard: creative, proactive, insightful and personable,” says Nunemacher. “Plus, he has a wonderful reputation amongst his peers, which says a lot for his character. I can’t think of a better professional to lead our operations in Marin.”

Vanguard is a brand that speaks to today’s Marin marketplace — it’s a brand that truly appreciates the heritage and history of the county, yet thinks and acts as a progressive company should. I am excited to be part of this dynamic, creative and professional organization,” said Patsel.

Vanguard’s first Marin office will open in the professional suites of the Corte Madera Town Center, which is a well-known gathering spot for Marin residents. The Town Center’s focus on community and as a gathering spot is the perfect venue from which to operate. Vanguard Marin expects to expand soon to other key locations.

Vanguard is known for their unique, fresh and exciting approach to marketing homes. Many real estate agents in Marin County and the surrounding area are very interested in what Vanguard has to offer in marketing versus their competitors. “Our company takes a different approach to marketing real estate and supporting our agents. We work in collaboration to assist our agents and clients to achieve success.” said Principal James Nunemacher.
