The event will benefit RoundUp River Ranch - an organization that provides fun, safe, and empowering camp experiences to children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses – completely free of charge to the campers and their families.
The event will be held at DaVita World Headquarters in Denver from 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Participating restaurants, including City Bakery, Edge Restaurant, La Biblioteca, Linger, Luca D’Italia, Margs, Root Down, and Tamayo, will serve guests a variety of small plates, and guests will enjoy a whiskey tasting station sponsored by Buffalo Trace Distillery. Roundup River Ranch campers will be the evening’s special guests, highlighting the lasting impact of camp in their lives. City Slicker Soiree will also feature live entertainment provided by Kory Brunson Band and an auction with once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Brenda Allerton and Debra Fagan serve as the event’s co-chairs.
“This event makes a huge impact on children with chronic and life-threatening illness,” said Debra Fagan, FSIR broker and City Slicker Soiree event chair for three years running. “Every year tops the previous and this year is no exception.”
Roundup River Ranch is a full member of SeriousFun Children’s Network, formerly The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, the world’s largest family of medical specialty camps founded by actor Paul Newman over two decades ago. Roundup River Ranch, located in Gypsum, Colo., will serve nearly 600 individuals this year, providing fun, safe, and empowering camp experiences, with appropriate medical care, through week-long camp sessions in the summer and a family program for children and their families during the fall and spring.
