ATLANTA, GEORGIA – Harry Norman, REALTORS® is a proud sponsor and participant of the new Junior Achievement’s Chick-fil-A Foundation Discovery Center housed on the upper mezzanine level of the Georgia World Congress Center's Building C. The new $9 million dollar Discovery Center is designed to enhance financial literacy and work readiness among Georgia youth.
The Discovery Center will consist of two hallmark Junior Achievement programs – JA BizTown and JA Finance Park – concepts that currently exist in over 20 cities across the country. Through these new programs, Georgia students will be exposed to increased opportunities for hands-on, interactive learning, and be provided with a rigorous and relevant curriculum around financial literacy, business, and career readiness.
Harry Norman, Realtors is partnering with Post Properties and will share a storefront in JA Finance Park, where students will gain real-world experience on how to choose their first home. In addition, volunteers will be trained to guide students through budgeting decisions on home ownership and leasing options.

Beginning fall of 2013, Atlanta Public Schools, DeKalb County Schools, Fulton County Schools and Marietta City Schools will integrate Junior Achievement’s financial literacy and work readiness education into the core curriculum for middle school students. Metro Atlanta is joining communities across the nation in the movement to incorporate financial literacy education and 21st century skills development as components of the core curriculum.
Nearly 30,000 middle school students will have an opportunity to learn and operate businesses modeled after those in Atlanta. Children will learn about microeconomics, including personal budgeting and marketing decisions, annual income and more.
