1354574291New York, NY – Founded by Silvana Malpelli of Brown Harris Stevens Residential Sales, Women in Relocation, a New York City-based national organization of relocation professionals, held their 7th Annual Holiday Luncheon and Silent Auction on November 29th at Fabio Piccolo Fiore in New York City. This event caps off yet another year of successful fundraising. Women in Relocation chose once again to support The Bridge Fund of Westchester (www.thebridgefund.org) and raised a record-breaking amount for the group. The mission of The Bridge Fund is to prevent homelessness for vulnerable, working individuals and families who are threatened with the loss of their housing but often do not qualify for emergency government assistance because they have some income.

Additional funds were raised to provide assistance for those impacted by Hurricane Sandy as well as for Shelter our Sisters, who assist women and children of emotional or physical abuse, www.shelteroursisters.org.

Dedicated to providing a forum for men and women in the real estate relocation industry to network with colleagues, Women in Relocation is committed to making a positive contribution to local communities. Lisa Buck, Director of The Bridge Fund of Westchester remarked, “This is the fourth year that Women in Relocation have supported The Bridge Fund of Westchester and we remain very grateful for all their efforts.  We salute their commitment to our program. Their donation will help us in our goal to assist hundreds of families and individuals in the coming year.”
