Maple Sugaring season in the early spring is when the local sugarmakers produce delicious maple syrup from the sap collected from the maple trees. There are many local sugarhouses in operation at this time where one can see the evaporation process in action and taste the "Vermont Gold".
Covered Bridges in Vermont are a unique feature of the landscape. Windham County proudly has maintained or restored 12 historic covered bridges some are in daily use and some are to be explored.
Vermont Farms sustain the natural connection of living with nature and producing farm products. This farming area has many thriving and productive farms dairy farms, sheep farms, organic vegetable farms, fruit orchards and more.

The Vermont Association of Snow Travelers assists local Snowmobile clubs that establish and maintain trails with landowners for touring.
The Connecticut River Byway Waypoint Visitors Center is a former rail yard. The award winning design represents a train locomotive and railroad station canopy with the building passing under an arch evocative of the old arch bridge. The Interpretive Center is in a unique location to provide the visitor a window to the past and a jumping off point to explore the Connecticut River Valley.

Situated on the picturesque Ashuelot River, the 36 hole course is a challenging championship golf course that is a favorite of recreational and competitive golfers alike.
Nestled in the Deerfield Valley of Southern Vermont, the Desmond Muirhead 18 hole designed course provides spectacular views of the Green Mountains.

The Keene Country Club 18 hole golf course, designed by Wayne Stiles in 1923 and updated over time, provides challenges for every level of play. The magnificent mountain views enhance the play time.
Mt. Snow Country Club is an 18 hole championship course with gorgeous mountain views, lush fairways, and large carpet-like greens. Championship mens and ladies tees offer opportunities for all playing abilities.
The championship 27 hole course designed by Geoffrey Cornish is one of the top golf courses in New England. They have hosted 6 LPGA events. Situated in the Green Mountains, the natural beauty enhances the enjoyment of the immaculately cared for greens.

Museums
Throughout the area, there are abundant opportunities at many public sites to view, to research, and to appreciate history and art in collections assembled by town historical societies. Additionally, there are many ever changing art exhibits in libraries, in banks, in town halls, in galleries and shops.
The museum is housed in a restored railroad station in the downtown area of Brattleboro. There are frequent changing exhibits by regional and international acclaimed artists, as well as educational programs and events for all ages.
The museum is located on the site of the original Estey Organ Company in Brattleboro. It celebrates the heritage of the company that made reed, pipe, and electronic organs that were sold locally and worldwide from the late 1800s to 1950s.
A living history museum located on the Connecticut River that is an authentically reconstructed English settlement. It was the most northern fort of the settlements on the river in the time of colonialism. The forts history spans the time of interacting with the native population- mostly Abenaki, to the establishment of homes and businesses to support the families by establishing trading routes, to the fortification and military presence in the Revolutionary War and the French and Indian Wars.
Situated in the beautiful historic village of Grafton, the museum encourages awareness, understanding, and conservation of the natural world through exhibits, programs, and field trips.
Naulakha, the home designed and built by Rudyard Kipling in 1892-93. The estate is ideally situated in its naturalistic setting with views of mountains and valleys.
Built in 1787, and restored in 1907, the Federal meetinghouse is the earliest public building in Vermont in nearly original condition.
Located in Springfield, Vermont, the center captures many visitors with its grand architecture, spectacular art, and rich history. It is a focus for creative and performing arts as well as literary and scientific endeavors.
The natural museum has on display one of the largest collection of mounted birds in New England more than 600 birds, including 3 extinct species, displayed in 100 dioramas. There are live birds of prey, reptiles, and amphibians.
Situated in the picturesque town of Marlboro, the gallery serves as a teaching resource as well as a community cultural facility.
Historical artifacts are housed in the 1830 building, which stores an important fabric collection.
