2006 Ski Conference
Ski Lech, Austria plus Munich, Germany
January 19 - 28, 2006
We're going back! Please join John Brian Losh on this exciting tour to the Austrian Alps!
Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate Tenth Annual European Conference
We'll begin our adventure with flights from the U.S. to Munich, Germany. Our private motor coach will take us to the 4-star Hotel King's First Class, where we will spend our first night. This hotel is centrally located in Munich within walking distance of the major sights, shops, bars, beer halls and restaurants.
The next morning, we will enjoy a comfortable motor coach drive to Lech, Austria a pristine, 700-year old alpine village nestled in the world-famous Arlberg ski region. This vast winter playground offers 160 miles of prepared trails, 110 miles of off-piste runs, 85 lifts and 4900 feet of vertical drop, all on the same lift pass! Lech, at 4758 feet above sea level, has never lost its charming character, harmonious architecture and comfortable, welcoming atmosphere despite its excellent worldwide reputation.
From there, we can easily ski the nearby resorts of Zürs, St. Anton, St. Christoph and Stuben. Some of the best, wide-open, groomed runs in Europe await us. Begin your day in Lech, ski to Zürs for lunch, sip a schnapps in the car-free hamlet of Oberlech, and return to Lech for an abundance of après-ski activities. Or take the bus to St. Christoph, ski to St. Anton for lunch and a glass of glüwein, schuss down to Stuben in the afternoon and still make it back to Lech in time for happy hour and dinner.
Our home for the week will once again be the elegant, 4-star Hotel Berghof, located just above the main street and across from the lifts. The hotel is beautifully decorated in traditional Austrian style and features a restaurant, bar, café, sun terrace and a lounge with open fireplace. The wellness center offers two saunas, steam room, relaxation room, juice and tea bar, massage, solarium and beauty treatments.
All of the comfortable, romantic guest rooms contain balcony, safe, radio, TV, telephone, living area, minibar and private bathroom with hair dryer and bathrobe. An extensive buffet breakfast will get us off to a good start in the morning. After a day on the slopes, a visit to the spa and a few cocktails, we'll be ready to enjoy the gourmet five-course dinners each evening in the hotel dining room.
