2005 Ski Conference

Arabba, Italy

January 20 - 30, 2005

Please join John Brian Losh on an exciting tour to the Italian Dolomites!

Who's Who in Luxury Real Estate - 9th Annual European Conference

We'll begin our adventure with flights on Northwest/KLM to Venice, where we'll spend our first two nights at the charming 4-star Hotel Bonvecchiati. Situated in a prime location between St. Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge, it offers easy access to all the main sights, shops, restaurants and bars.

Next, we will enjoy a comfortable private motor coach drive to Arabba, a small, pristine ski village nestled in the middle of the vast Dolomiti Superski region. This ski mecca encompasses 12 ski areas, 460 lifts and more than 750 miles of marked, groomed runs. It is impossible to ski it all in a week, let alone a lifetime! Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced skier, you'll find plenty of terrain to please you.

Perhaps you will want to take a day to ski the famous Sella Ronda circuit. You'll follow well-marked runs and lifts on a day-long journey that will take you through four villages (Arabba, Canazei, Corvara and Selva). At the end of the day, you will have skied all the way around the Sella mountain range. Bring a camera, because the views of the jagged, pink-tinged mountain peaks surrounding you are breathtaking.

You may also want to ski the nearby Marmolada glacier. Known as the "Queen of the Dolomites," the Marmolada is the highest mountain in the Dolomites at 10,725 feet high. You can ski from Arabba, again on an easy-to- follow itinerary, to just a few feet under the summit. Then, it is a lovely, 7 mile run back to town. It will also be possible to take a day trip to Cortina, the elitest of the Dolomiti ski villages. Bring your skis, or just spend the day shopping.

The 3-star superior Hotel Evaldo will be our home for the week. The elegant, chalet-style hotel is run by the Lezuo family and has two restaurants known for their excellent cuisine. The new wellness center features an indoor pool, whirlpool, steam room, three saunas, aromatic shower and fitness room. There is also a cozy bar, a ski room with lockers and free shuttle service to the nearest lift station.

Our journey home will start with a flight from Venice to Amsterdam. We'll spend an afternoon and night in this fabulous city before returning to the U.S. the next day.
